I hereby make it known that the National Congress approves and I, Humberto Lucena, President of the Federal Senate, in the terms of article 48, item 28, of the Bylaws, promulgate the following:

Article 1. The text of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, adopted in New York on May 9, 1992, is approved.

Single paragraph. Are subject to the approval of the National Congress any acts which may result in a review of the above-mentioned convention, as well as any further adjustments which, in the terms of article 49, I, of the Federal Constitution, may bring about duties or onerous obligations to the national wealth.

Article 2. This Legislative Decree enters into force on the date of its publication.
